Link issues ruin Play potential

The Playlink Elektra had a lot of potential for play, but was unfortunately ruined by Link connectivity issues constantly disconnecting. And with the poorly placed button on the body of the plug, can’t even use it ‘manually’. Maybe its remote control counterpart would be better (but if remote is lost again the button is not usable when inserted). The vibration intensity/patterns are nice but the variety potential with app control is lost for electrostimulation (e-stim) not having any patterns.
Pros: Good vibration intensity, patterns.
Nice packaging.
Cons: Poor connectivity (constant disconnect).
Poorly placed power button.
No varied e-stim patterns.
Verdict: Not recommended. The very unstable connectivity to the phone app renders the plug effectively useless, with the button for manual control also being on the plug body. If the button was on the outside of the base it could at least be useable manually, but alas...
Dimensions: 3.75" total length, 3" insertable length
Plug body is 1.25" diameter (4.25" circumference)
Battery: Up to 1hr runtime
Modes: 7 vibration patterns and 3 electro-stimulation, with additional customizability through app
Material: Silicone with metal e-stim contacts on plug body
The Playlink Elektra is mostly encased in silicone but with two metal contacts for the e-stim. The power button on the toy is poorly placed halfway up the body of the plug (so it is inside you when in use...), I hoped wouldn't be an issue as it's controlled with phone, but it was definitely an issue. Not sure why the button couldn't just be at the neck or base? Anyways, the button has a red light when the toy is turned on.
Can cycle through vibration (not e-stim as far as I can tell) from the power button. The main draw is for the app control though, which was simple to download then connected to the toy quickly via bluetooth. The app has some selection of vibration patterns as well as a draw mode, music mode, etc. I was disappointed these patterns only controlled and varied vibration intensity though, e-stim was only through a basic intensity choice of low through high intensity. The vibration intensity is moderate and the e-stim intensity ranges from teasing to borderline pleasure/pain!
So, within the limitations the modes worked just fine, BUT only when the Playlink Elektra stayed connected. That's where it really lost its usability. Every couple of minutes even with the phone nearby, the plug would disconnect. And how it disconnected was never consistent - sometimes it would just continue at the last mode it was set to, sometimes it would stop and could just reconnect by pressing connect in the app, and sometimes the plug would need to be turned off and on again to reconnect which required having to pull it out (due to the poorly placed power button) to power it off/on.
The Playlink Elektra has a relatively nice box, while not necessarily discreet as it shows a pic of the plug and some details about it. The packaging did have a nice extra layer of premium feel to it, with an insert box being pulled out to reveal the plug itself, charging wire, and product manual held in place in an insert.
