Summary

The We-Vibe Nova 2 quickly became one of my wife’s favorite toys (favorite rabbit without a doubt). She’s always preferred using rabbits in more of a thrusting manner, and the typical ones only allow for some rocking while maintaining clit stimulation. The Nova 2’s clit arm solves that by flexing while thrusting the toy to stay pressed against the clit, giving her intense blended orgasms! Combined with the posable internal shaft, this not only allows for more control over how much pressure is felt in both spots during use, this also makes it one of the most versatile fitting rabbits.

The nice feel of a thicker and slightly squishy silicone outer layer, tactile buttons, and strong rumbly vibrations while remaining quiet come together for a premium toy. The app and long-distance control options are also great features to have. Experience

I remember when my wife first took the Nova 2 out of the box after it arrived to turn it on and mess around with it a bit. I was sitting next to her and the TV was on low in the background. She mentioned something about the vibrations and I wasn’t sure what she was talking about, until she touched it against me to show how it felt. I didn’t even know she had turned it on it was so quiet! Now it’s not completely silent (if dead quiet in the background and holding it you can hear the vibrations a bit, but almost any level of background noise will cover it up at most intensities) but is very quiet relative to its intensity level. We also noticed some of the unique vibration patterns that make it almost feel like there’s an offset or second asynchronous motor in the same portion of the toy, rather than the typical pauses in between vibrations with most toys patterns.

The Nova 2 also has a thicker silicone layer that has a little squish to it around its firm core/motor casings. Compared to most rabbits/vibrators that have a very thin layer of silicone over the core and feel very rigid, this makes the Nova 2 feel a little more forgiving and comfortable. The clit arm is what originally sold my wife on it, as she liked snail style rabbits and this is a somewhat similar concept. The original Nova actually came out before the snail style, we just happened to discover snail rabbits first in our toy journey (just looking at the Nova shape it isn’t obvious the clit arm works like that). The Nova’s clit arm provides good pressure against the clit while thrusting the shaft, and the handle makes it easy to hold and do so. Compared to snail style, the Nova provides more pressure, keeps its position better due to being less wobbly, but has less travel distance during thrusts (around 2” of travel) compared to snail style. Longer thrust distance and preferring lighter pressure would be cases where a snail style may be more suitable.

As for my wife’s use of the Nova 2, she primarily uses it for masturbation. After her first solo session with it I asked her how it was and she described it as “Possibly the best toy I’ve used yet!” She’ll sometimes share racy pics of how wet it gets her and all over the toy to get me hot and bothered! The Nova possibly gets her the wettest out of most our toys, which is a pretty effective measure on how much she likes the toy. Functionality/Fit

The We-Vibe Nova 2 has separate buttons for the controls and they have tactile differences that make it a lot easier to select (rather than cycling through everything with a single button…). The + and - buttons for controlling intensity are round raised buttons, the < and > buttons for changing pattern are raised and in the shape of < and >, and the toggle button (circling arrows symbol) is round and recessed. These details help to know what button you’re pressing when using the toy without having to look. Holding down the + or - button continually increases or decreases the intensity in that direction (rather than having to press it several times to get to max intensity or decrease to low). Continuing to hold the - button after the lowest intensity turns the Nova 2 off. To turn on the + button only needs pressed (not held).

The toggle button (recessed button with the circling arrows symbol) when pressed switches between the vibrations and adjustments of the clit stimulator, internal shaft, or both. This controls and adjusts the motors independently and can have just one stimulator turned on, or both but with different patterns/intensities on each (even easier to do the separate settings in the app). For example my wife sometimes prefers the clit stimulator vibrations off with the internal shaft on, so that the clit stimulator is giving purely physical rubbing/pressure stimulation while she’s getting internal/G-spot vibrations.

We could feel 11 different intensity levels using the Nova’s buttons but could not find any official specification of this. Online, unofficial specs from sellers and reviews listed anywhere between 8-13 intensity levels. Although the exact number doesn’t matter too much and can have an arbitrary number of intensity levels using the app control. From our experience (11 levels) the vibrations stay mostly rumbly until past level 8, then progressively get a little buzzier (but still stay well on the rumbly side overall).

For the fit of the We-Vibe Nova 2, it has one of the most versatile designs compared to typical rabbit vibrators. This will help it fit a lot more individual anatomies where clit to vaginal opening spacing varies, and the clit stimulator on standard rabbits may hit too high or too low. This versatility is from the combination of the posable internal shaft and flexible clit arm. The posable shaft can be adjusted to change the amount of G-spot pressure, and also to accommodate individual anatomies ranging from a clit >2” away from the vaginal opening (at resting position, the clit arm can be flexed further outward from resting position) to practically touching the vaginal opening. For my wife she liked changing the posable shaft to a more or less intense curve for a corresponding amount of G-spot pressure during use, depending on what she was in the mood for.

The Nova 2 charges via We-Vibe’s magnetic charger. We always enjoy how strong their magnetic charging connection is compared to a lot of others (where a slight bump will disconnect the charger for other toys with the weaker connections). It’s strong enough to lift the toy up just from the magnetic charging connection! (although I wouldn’t recommend doing that a lot, probably for the charging wire’s sake).

We-Vibe App

To pair the Nova 2 with the We-Vibe app, the barcode on the packaging can be scanned, or directly through Bluetooth by holding down the recessed toggle button (circling arrows) on the Nova 2 until it vibrates twice, selecting connect through the phone in the We-Vibe app, then it vibrates a few times to confirm connection.

In the app the patterns and intensity can be controlled with more variety. There are the basic patterns (premade or custom-made), precise control of intensity from 0-100 with a slider, and touch mode (intensity/frequency through dragging finger across phone screen). There are also more intricate modes like beat mode (downloaded music only, not music streaming services) or ambient mode (not as accurate but a way to get around having to download music, controlled by ambient sound around such as playing any music through speakers, or audible sounds from a video of choice).

The app also makes it easier to have the clit arm and internal shaft different intensity and patterns, and to change that on the fly (compared to going through the toggle button on the toy). The single control bubble for the Nova can be tapped to split it into separate control bubbles for the external clit arm “OUT” and the internal shaft “IN”.

There are also some additional settings like viewing the battery percentage, sleep mode settings (how long to keep toy on standby connected to the app from 15 minutes to 4 hours), and maximum intensity (can limit it to less than 100% if the regular max gets too strong).

Packaging/Appearance

With a premium product I typically expect the packaging and presentation to match that aspect, and We-Vibe delivers. The box itself is colorful and has a premium appearance, with a good level of detail and information about the toy on the back of the box and inside the lid.

For the contents inside, first is the Nova 2 itself in a fitted insert. I appreciate that the insert is paper/cardboard instead of plastic for better recyclability/sustainability without detracting from the premium feel. After pulling the toy out, underneath are segmented sections with the charging cord, branded fabric storage pouch, and product manual. The segmented sections for this are another small detail that add to the premium feeling packaging.
