Mount the majestic griffin

(Updated May 2, 2026)
The Griffin is a nice looking thrusting dildo with soft/slightly squishy silicone outer layer but hard inner mechanism, slight texture, and a thick knot. The thrusting power is decent for the extending shaft kind of mechanism but stalls if clenching or riding/thrusting at too much of an angle. Remote adds more control and pause/start functions for thrusting and vibration separately. Overall, this majestic beast makes for a decent mount to ride, combining a thrusting dildo with fantasy design.
Pros: Pretty coloration
Nice shape/knot and soft outer layer
Decent thrusting power for a thrusting dildo, variety of patterns
Cons: Thrusting can stop if clenching or at more of an angle
Fairly loud mechanical thrusting
Uncommon battery for remote
Peroxide-cured silicone (instead of platinum-cured silicone that is higher quality, typically found in artisan dildo/fantasy brands)
Verdict: Recommended with reservations. A decent choice if interested in trying both a fantasy and thrusting dildo in one, but has notable drawbacks. While the tip is soft and squishy, it quickly gets to the very firm motor core making it difficult to actually knot and hilt this dildo given its 9" insertable length. As with all thrusting dildos, thrusting power is limited, although the Griffin is better than some others we have tried.
Dimensions: Total length 10.5", insertable length 9"
Knot is 2.5" diameter/7.75" circumference
Material: Silicone (peroxide-cured), slightly squishy outer layer with rigid motor core inside
Waterproof (waterproof IP rating not specified)
First, a quick firmness/squishiness check of the Griffin, which has some squishiness of the outer layer, and the inner mechanism acts as a hard core (makes it too hard for taking the full length). The tip being the squishiest with the shaft being a bit squishy just on the outside, as the motor core is inside the shaft.
I generously lubed up the Griffin and mounted the dildo, slowly sliding down as it filled up my hole. I was able to take it down to near the knot (but while I can take girth, as I mentioned the hard motor core makes taking the full length even more difficult). I started riding the Griffin up and down, then turned it on and the Griffin roared to life. A combination of me riding it and it thrusting in me, I was soon filled with pleasure!
The Griffin actually has a decent amount of power, even with the motor/mechanism all being encased inside with it being a thrusting/extending shaft which can often be a bit weaker than the accordion style thrusting base (like with the Zest). The Griffin was able to keep thrusting in me, anally, except for moderate or riding at more of an angle.
The Griffin has a strong suction cup mount, and I like how it is nicely blended into the toy design rather than a typical protruding suction cup. Attachable almost anywhere, wall, floor, chair, or bathroom surfaces, then mount and ride the Griffin to completion.
The vibration motor of the Griffin seems to be towards the widest part of the mid-shaft and is most intense there, with some vibration intensity traveling to the tip and near the knot. The vibration is a nice power level with a lot of nice modes to choose from, and I always enjoy the more 'irregular' patterns rather than constant/predictable ones! The shape of the toy, and softness of the tip don't make for particularly targeted vibrations like a firm g-spot vibrator or wand would, more of a pleasing/teasing sensation that adds to the overall experience rather than pushing over the edge alone.
The more exciting part in my opinion is the thrusting! As mentioned it is the kind of thrusting where the shaft of the toy is expanding/contracting to thrust, but relatively powerful for this mechanism – but will still stall out and can't thrust when clenching or at a sharper angle. The thrusting also has some nice 'irregular' thrusting patterns! There is a power button on the toy to turn it on (LED lights up red) then pressing again can cycle through combined thrusting/vibrating modes.
As is usually the case when there's a single button on the toy and comes with a remote, the remote gives more control. Remote has separate thrusting and vibrating buttons to activate and cycle through those modes separately (can have both on at same time at different modes of each). Holding down the respective button will 'pause'/turn-off that mode, but the toy is still on and can be started again with just the remote. The power button on the remote turns off the toy, but to turn the toy back on it needs to be turned on from the button on the toy itself (that functionality of remote doesn't make as much sense in my opinion).
The Griffin box is a very discreet, plain black box with the only hint the small sticker labeled adult novelty. Inside the box is the Griffin dildo itself sealed in a plastic bag, charging cord, remote, battery for remote, and product manual.
Unwrapping the dildo, my first thoughts were how nice the coloration is on this majestic beast, and, as in mythology, the Griffin is also a relatively large beast! (but the smaller and soft tip make it slightly more approachable, challenging to master. More on that later...)
