Summary

The Haliae Tentacle G-Spot Vaginal Plug (fittingly named) brings a fun deep sea flair to a vaginal plug that is quite effective in its own right, even if putting the fantasy aspect aside. The tentacle theme brings some extra texture and with what I thought was one of the more creative aspects, forming the G-spot targeting head by the tentacle curling in on itself in the sculpt. In use the tentacle sucker texture was relatively light, so the pronounced head was one of the most defining features compared to a standard single bulbed vaginal plug.

The small round base fit very well for my partner’s anatomy, nestling comfortably within her labia and leaving her clit free for other stimulation (which is one of the most pleasurable ways to use a vaginal plug!). The G-spot targeting design really shines during muscle contractions and relaxations that cause the plug to move around and rub the spot. External stimulation to help that along, combined with the filling pressure of the plug brings some great sensations!

While this wasn’t a concern for the small size Haliae for her, the straight shaft and length of the large size could start to bump against the cervix for some individuals. For highly active use while wearing the Haliae, it may be necessary to wear supportive underwear or consciously squeezing to hold it in.

The Haliae Vaginal Plug is highly recommended if you’re looking for:

• A lightly textured fantasy plug with a smooth semi-gloss surface finish

• Pronounced G-spot head and bulbous body with a longer neck

• Small round base style of vaginal plug

• Aquatic sea-creature fantasy theme

Firmness/Material: Shore 0030 or 0050, platinum-cured silicone.

Choice of 1-3 colors.

This review is based on the Small size, shore 0050 firmness (random 3-color pour with I think to be: base color of Vivid Indigo, secondary color of Pearl White, and accent color of Vivid Pink). The Haliae is also offered in a Large size.

My manual measurements of the small Haliae vaginal plug closely match with the specified dimensions despite the possibility for some variation with it being a hand-made product. A total length of ~5.25” with an insertable length of 4.5”, and a maximum circumference of ~5.4”. I’ve also added a few measurements I think are important for use! The base circumference is right at 5”, which can help determine if it will fit snugly between the vulva and/or leave the clit exposed for an individual’s anatomy. The neck circumference is ~3.25”, combined with the taper of the neck compared to the max circumference of the plug body gives an idea of how snugly or easily the plug can be held in.

Appearance and Shape

Uberrime’s multi-color pours never fail to wow me with their pretty marbling. The pour is their somewhat signature style, a mixture of marbling and layering throughout the length of the toy. And the color scheme they choose is often quite fitting to the theme of the toy, more than the colors I would even think to choose! In this case the pink, blue, and white goes really well with the aquatic tentacle theme of Haliae. The blue of course for water, the white adding a bit of seafoam aesthetic, and the pink for a tentacle kind of color. One of the other most striking aspects of the appearance is the tentacle curling in on itself to form the G-spot targeting swell! This was a very creatively functional choice in the design.

Some of Uberrime’s new tentacle vaginal plugs are fantasy reimaginings of their original vaginal plugs. There are of course the added textures and visuals from the tentacle theming, and each has some additional unique aspects. I’ll go into each of the features more in-depth for the respective reviews but in short, shown here going from left to right: the Thetis stands out for the most pronounced sucker texture, the Haliae has the G-spot targeting curled tip, and the Galene has the more blunt angled A-spot targeting head. One other thing to note is the Haliae has more of a straight shaft rather than angling to one side like the others. Wasn’t at all a problem for the small size, but for the large size, something to keep in mind depending on your individual anatomy is that it could end up bumping a bit against the cervix.

Some of the unique features of the Haliae as a tentacle vaginal plug are the subtle tentacle sucker texture through the body of the plug and a slight contour on the sides serving as a bit of a separation from the top-side to underside of the tentacle. Then, instead of smoothly tapering to the tip, the Haliae’s body thins out before widening again to the bulge of the head (formed by the tentacle tip curling back on itself). This more pronounced head gives it some of that extra G-spot targeting stimulation!

The overall shape of Haliae otherwise has typical vaginal plug aspects. The small round base nestles in and leaves nice access to the clit (and as the product page mentions, is NOT anal safe). Then the thinner neck tapering out to the plug body helping naturally hold the plug in place, also giving space to bear down on. It isn’t a super abrupt taper to the body, so for more active use while wearing it (such as walking around, exercising, pegging a partner, etc. beyond sitting, laying down, or maybe standing) you either need to focus a bit on clenching down to hold Haliae in or will want some more supportive underwear to help hold snugly in place.

Texture, Feel, and Experience

The G-spot targeting swell of the head is the most pronounced shape/texture of the Haliae vaginal plug. Along the sides of the tentacle there are gentle, contoured ridges going down the length. Then of course the tentacle suckers that are clearly seen across the middle of the body, but are actually a relatively gentle texture due to the lower profile (versus more pronounced raised sucker textures) combined with the soft shore 0050 (or 0030) firmness Haliae comes in.

For the shore 0050 firmness Haliae plug, if you don’t have experience with silicone toys that specify shore firmness, the closest thing I would describe this firmness to is partially relaxed muscle. Has some flesh-like squish and will bend with some resistance. My partner and I think this is a good balanced firmness for vaginal plugs, enough structure to insert relatively easily but enough squish and flex to bend a bit with the body and feel comfortable inside. This does have more structure and will also provide a little more pressure inside than shore 0030 would. Shore 0030 I feel tends to be somewhere between fully relaxed muscle and body fat, so would be a little trickier to insert but can be very comfortable and put less pressure inside.

Packaging

The packaging is simple and discreet. The outer mailing box was a plain brown box with no mention of company or contents, shipped from “Peter Parker”. Inside wrapped in purple tissue paper (as is Uberrime’s brand color) were the toys in a sealed plastic baggie, a card with the company details on one side and toy/silicone care instructions on the other, and a few surprise minis/teenie weenies. Uberrime has recently started making and including more teenie weenies in their packages which is exciting, I love getting the little squishies along with the main toys!
