The LHM Stipe Mesh Open Back Boxer Shorts (a fully descriptive name!) is part of “Lovehoney’s Male” LHM male lingerie collection. I appreciate their expansion of lingerie into these male anatomy focused options for a wider selection! This piece was the first I’ve tried out of this collection, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and feel of the material, especially considering the affordable price. In addition of course to the racy and sexy appearance of the underwear, although that I already had an idea of from the product page.
The underwear was snug yet comfortable for me. The semi-sheer striped appearance gives a nice tease in the front, showing some of what’s underneath but still leaving a bit to the imagination. Then the open back giving an inviting exposed rear, with easy access for backdoor activities that may soon ensue… I also love how it functions a bit as very light chastity with this design, the penis slightly visible but not fully accessible in the front, with the rear exposed and accessible.
I look forward to trying out more of their LHM lingerie pieces in the future, and hope the offerings continue to grow!
Verdict: Highly recommended! Fabric feels of good quality, comfortable, gives a sexy tease in the front and functional for backdoor play with the open back.

This review is based on the S/M size, and I am ~33” waist size. For that underwear size with my waist, they fit snug yet comfortable so could easily be worn out on a date night with naughty plans for later! The waist and leg bands did not dig in or feel constricting. However, I was right in the middle of the waist measurements for that size. The fit will depend also on butt and thighs, but of course waist is the easiest measurement to go off for semi-universal sizing. That said, if you are borderline between the sizes and have decently thick butt and thighs (ex. ~36” waist size), you may want to consider the larger size (L/XL in that case instead of S/M) if you don’t want the underwear to be too snug/tight.

Looking at the LHM Stipe Mesh Open Back Boxer Shorts sitting flat, from first glance they may look like relatively standard boxer briefs, short length to sit just below the crotch on the legs. An overall semi-sheer appearance due to the sheer fabric in between the solid black lines. Then to the backside, so this is a bit more of an obvious difference but also one of the things that drew me to getting this pair, is the open back for exposed and easy access to the butt and anus! If you like the semi-sheer appearance but would prefer a closed back, the LHM Stripe Mesh Boxer Shorts Black is essentially just a version of these without the open back.
Now for the fit and how they look when wearing, which is a lot more important and telling than just looking at them sitting flat. Unfortunately, this is one of their underwear that does not have a product picture of a model wearing them to see how they look when worn. But fortunately (?) for the readers here, I’ll show some pictures of them worn here. I’m no model, butt (pun intended) at least it should give a better idea how they may look! Note, I’m wearing a partial bodysuit underneath both to keep my modesty and avoid nudity in the written review.
Here are a few profile shots of me wearing the underwear from various angles, and can see a little more clearly how much “skin” would be showing through the semi-sheer fabric. From the front and side the bulge will be shown off a bit (and a glimpse of the tip, shaft, balls when exposed underneath) for your and/or partner’s viewing pleasure! I’m a grower, not a shower, so the front pouch had no problem holding my bulge. But it can support more, from my use even partial erections stay well contained in the front.
With that front pouch containing or constraining the penis slightly, I like how this underwear can function kind of like light chastity in that way! While still a little exposed and not as tightly constrained, it makes access to the penis less easy. If you are into anal and/or prostate pleasure, this use works great to help redirect focus away from penile pleasure to focus on the anal and prostate pleasure!
Which brings me to the other main feature of this underwear, the open back design. The open back nicely exposes part of the cheeks and crack, in an open and inviting way! No need to remove for backdoor pleasure, keeping that kind of light chastity-esque use going in the front, and the sexy teasing appearance of the underwear leaving a little bit to the imagination by not fully exposing everything.

The care instructions for the LHM Mesh Open Back Boxer Shorts recommend hand wash and air dry like other lingerie or delicates. I’d suggest following the air dry instruction for sure, as for washing if your washing machine has a “hand wash” setting, or wash it on “delicate” cycle (inside a mesh bag for extra protection, if you want to be cautious) should be fine!

As is typical for my Lovehoney packages, it arrived in a non-descript, plain brown cardboard box! With the sender listed relatively discreetly as “LH Trading”. Then the packaging for the underwear was simple just a clear sealed plastic bag, similar as other online clothes orders. If you needed to first try it on for fit, wear your own under-underwear and leave the return tag on the item.
